Your new employer

Your new employer is a scale-up company in Essen. He is a SaaS provider of predictive analytics that helps companies optimize performance, reduce equipment downtime and increase security by making data understandable. They are in close contact with customers and get an exact picture of the situation in order to design the appropriate solutions.

The company uses IoT chips to provide heavy industry customers with real-time data, performance indicators, risk assessments and recommendations for action at a glance.

The Team

The team consists of about 45 employees, 30 of which work in software development. Due to the strong growth there are opportunities for development and promotion.  You will work as part of an integrative team, which enables creative thinking and unconventional methods. In the relaxed start-up atmosphere there is a friendly relationship between colleagues and superiors, which will help you to find your way around quickly.

Your tasks

You develop the software for the IoT chips used so that they can interact with the customer’s dashboard. So you are a central interface of our company!

In a team of passionate software engineers you develop the platform that drives our innovative solutions for heavy industry.

• Together with the team you design concepts and define the architecture to develop our state-of-the-art data platform
• Using the latest tools and techniques, you will create quality code to develop new micro-services and maintain existing services.
• You think through tough problems and work with amazing people to turn solutions into reality: Collaboration is your driving force, high-performance code is your goal.
• You drive our growth, both by mentoring young colleagues and by helping the team grow.
• You work closely with customers and relevant stakeholders to create business value.

Your requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable education
• 5 years experience with microservices in JAVA
• 2 years of experience with agile methods such as Scrum, Extreme Programming or Kanban
• Very good knowledge of English
