Since Data is a super hot topic, especially within company’s you can imagine that these company’s have a lot of it. Not only structured data but also unstructured, as most data will be in the future.

This organisation is bringing these businesses an intelligent content solution to structure their data and add business value. With the use of Machine Learning the unstructured data (like documents and images) will be structured. By automising this process, large quantities of data can be analyzed, improved and easily be found. This will reduce human mistakes and improve the employee-productivity.

The platform that is used is based on Kubernetes, Java, Machine Learning frameworks and open course components. The software from this company is mostly used in organisations that have a lot of data, for example multinationals and governments.

Example project

For one of the Dutch partners Rijkswaterstaat/Wegverkeer Nederland, this company developed software based on Artificial Intelligence. The pictures that come from speed camera’s on the road are converted into data. With these data the company can check the licence plate number and see if there are any open fines associated with this number. The company always complies with the GDPR legislation (AVG wetgeving). If there is nothing conspicuous to the driver, the ticket will be sent. If further steps are required, a responsible employee will be notified. This results in a better process and much smaller margin of error.

Team

This international company is based in Amsterdam and Den Haag and is expanding and therefore looking for one or more machine learning specialists to join the current Machine Learning Team. There are a lot of senior-level employees working in this company, and next to that there is a lot of budget and time for personal and work-related development. The working atmosphere can best be described as informal and open.

As Machine Learning Specialist you will be part of the product team. You will work in one of the multifunctional Scrumteams that consists of e.g. Frontend and Backend Developers, Test Automation Specialists, DevOps Engineers and Machine Learning Specialists.

Role

You will be working on both expanding and implementing new Machine Learning features in the current platform, for example based on National Language Processing and Computer Vision.

You will do research on new Machine Learning technologies, design and develop features. Together with your team you will brainstorm on solutions for data challenges.

You offer:

• Bachelor or Masters degree
• 2+ years of work experience in a related field
• Experience with Machine Learning, NLP or Computer Vision
• Experience with programming in Python or Java
• Excellent verbal and written English and/or Dutch skills
