Team:

As a Data Engineer you will joint he team in Rotterdam. You are in close contact with the Data Architect. It is up to you to play an active role developing various innovations and improvemens within the data platform. At the moment an external company is helping the organisation with the data. Therefore you will work closely with them and the Data Architect. You will arrive in a Greenfield in which you can make clear decisions.

At the moment the organisation already has some Machine Learning Alorithms which will be improved. As a data engineer it is up to you to prepare the data fort he Machine Learning Specialists.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining configurable data processing algorthims which are related to market research;
• Adapting various data sources into both new and existing data structures via several data process implementations;
• Identifying and troubleshooting data related issues;
• Implementing processes and systems in order to monitor data quality, ensuring the accuracy and availability of data;
• Exploring, recommending and applying various ways to improve data reliability and quality;
• Preparing data fort he data scientists for various data modeling and Machine Learning algorithms;
• You will work closely with a team of both front- and backend software developers, product owners, research managers and data analysts.

You offer:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering;
• Mimimum of 3 year work experience as a data engineer or a similar role;
• Mimimum of 3 years extensive working knowledge in Python and SQL;
• Experience in Azure Cloud and Databricks;
• Hands-on experience with SQL database design;
• Having experience with NoSQL databases is a plus;
• Expertise with ETL processes
• Having experience within the market research industry is a plus;
• Fluent in English : written and verbal communication;
• You are a proactive learner;
• You have deep analytical skills.
